The fun begins!

Brody can now escape the crib!!! He has been a little bi-polar lately because he's getting his eye teeth and one bottom fang all at the same time. The eye teeth are the final killer! Well he was beside himself as was I, so I put him in his crib for a nap! He was in there maybe five minutes when I decided to go check on him. I just about had a heart attack when I reached for the door knob and so did he on the other side!! I opened the door to find him, blanket in one hand, cup in the other, on his
way out! Well....I cant have him jumping head first out of a crib and breaking his neck! I took thecrib down and posted it on craigslist without hesitation. Brody has to sleep in his pack and play now which is a little more challenging for escapees! What do you do? I made the mistake of putting Bradynn in my bed when he started escaping and he's still there! Remember me in your prayers everyone because my second child brings with him grey hairs and wrinkles!!!

Thanksgiving

I made the feast of champions this year!!! We had Angie and the kids come over and spend the day. Angie's husband Rodney is a chef for a yatch club. He recently had 2 of his co-workers pass away on different circumstances and within a couple days! So, he is at work 24/7. The reason I'm telling you this is I write often about Angie and the kids but never Rodney, and that's why, he is at work!! Poor guy:( So, while I made dinner, Kelly and Bradynn went and played baseball with some friends. Angie came and we spent the rest of the time gabbing away. I dont have any girlfriends here in Orlando since we've only been here a little over a month. So, when Angie and I get together I just cant shut-up! Our kids are all close in age so they are all best friends. They play hard and keep to themselves in the playroom. After dinner we got out the Hungry Hippo and Perfection games! Its funny to see the kids all excited and competetive. All in all it was a great day:) I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving:)

Vegas and Utah in 4 days!

So I found out on a Wednesday and we flew out on a Friday!!! Kelly's grandma Mary went to be with Jesus. We hadn't been back to the St. George area for about 2 years and there wasn't enough time to breath, let alone see everyone!! There was me, Kelly, and Angie (Kelly's sister), with two 1yr olds and 2 four yr olds on a plane!!! It was so nice to see everyone although the circumstances could've been better. It seems that's the only reuniun time when you're older and live far away, either a wedding or a funeral. Anyhow, we did get a chance to see our st. george friends and we took the kids to see snow! I promised Bradynn snow and when we got to Utah I was pleasantly surprised to see none! I had to go to great lengths to see man made snow at Brian Head Ski Resort! It seems like I couldn't get away from it when I lived there. All in all we had a great time. We stayed with grandma roro in Mesquite. And Tuesday we flew back so everyone could be to work on Wednesday!

where do they get this stuff?

This is my crazy, wild, hilarious Bradynn!!! He cracks me up all day long. Today, like every other day, he asks for a drink. And like every other day I tell him he has to stay in the kitchen or at the table with it. AND like every other day he doesn't! I ask him where his drink is as soon as I notice and he says "uh oh" then he says "mom, will you get me a towel, I dont want you to have to see this!!" And you guessed it...spilt on the carpet. soooooo funny. He says we live in a coconut forest! Which I guess isn't far from the truth. It just amazes me how they interpret things and it makes sence. He calls handle bars the handy bars. They are handy, right? If you bump into him he says "ouch, you hurt myself" and he's right again, I did hurt his self!!! And it never stops, he goes on and on and on....Where do they come up with this stuff!

Cooooookies

We try to make sugar cookies for the holidays which turns out to be about once a year! It usually happens when the kids are playing in the cabinets and come across the massive box of cookie cutters. This year that fell on Halloween! Making cookies with a 3 yr old brings new light to the table. He had more fun dusting flour into his lap and on his brothers head! He was ready to decorate them after he cut them out of the dough. He got bored about half way through and decided to make a witches brew out of what he found laying around the sink! Brody on the other hand just sat at our feet and kept saying "EAT", he knows when were in the kitchen we're making something and he doesn't turn down anything to eat! He waited patiently for a finished product and disappeared after that. Its not very hard to find him though, just follow the crumb trail.

Halloween Party

We went to a neighborhood Halloween party with Angie(my sis-in-law) family. In Texas and in Utah Halloween fell on a pretty chili night. Utah is famous for the first snow on that night and I would freeze my butt off!!! That being said, I got the boys really warm costumes this year not even thinking about it. We made it into the door of the party and my kids were already panting and sweating:( poor things, but I did manage to get a few pics! I dont know exactly what they're gonna be on Halloween night. I'm sure Bradynn wont protest to pulling out the old Spiderman costume for the 3rd year in a row! I'm sure dressing my little puppets up is more fun for me than them!

A week in New Orleans

So, as most of you know, my sister lives in New Orleans. When we made the move to Orlando it was decided (by me of course) that I would fly my mom out to TX and her, myself, and the little ones would drive! I wanted to drive because I could stop and see Brandi and her fam. Great decision on my part because we had the best time ever. I kept extending my stay for a couple more days! We didn't want to go. My nephew Damion, and my son are very close and inseparable. My brother in law had season tickets to the Saints games and gave them to Brandi and I for the big RAIDERS vs. SAINTS game. We had the best time. Our dad would have been proud that we attended the Raiders game! He's smiling from heaven;)
